Wee Jasper Reserves

Wee Jasper is a beautiful little village in the Gooradigbee Valley at the western foot of the Brindabella ranges, about an hour from Yass. The winding drive through the hillsideswith spectacular views ensure a stimulating start to your adventurous trip to Wee Jasper.

When you take in the landscape around Wee Jasper,  it’s not hard to imagine the pre-historic days when mega-fauna such as giant kangaroos and wombat-like creatures roamed the hills. The meandering river through the Wee Jasper reserve is the perfect place to “waste away” the hours fishing, canoeing, swimming, and all other sorts of outdoor enjoyment!

NOTE: There is no fuel at Wee Jasper and no store. Please ensure you leave Yass with a full tank of fuel and take all necessary items with you! Bookings are required for camping at Wee Jasper Reserves.

Yass Town Walk

Throw yourself into our local heritage as you stroll the streets of Yass with the town walk map as your guide. As you observe the beautiful architecture of buildings that are over 150 years old, give thought to our ancestors and the pride they felt when constructing such masterpieces. Take note of the many cafes that are in close proximity to the main street, keeping them in mind for a lunch stop along the way.

You are able to pick up a copy of the self-guided town walk from the Yass Valley Information Centre or the electronic version here
