Truffle season is here! Yass Valley’s Blue Frog Truffles are in high demand and are featured in two special upcoming events. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to experience the unique flavours of this winter delicacy!
Blue Frog Truffles
The Blue Frog Truffle Farm or truffiere, has been harvesting black truffles since 2007. The farm is located in Sutton NSW, in the Yass Valley region just north of Canberra.
During truffle season, which runs from late June until mid-August, Blue Frog Truffle Farm harvest their truffles twice a week. They also conduct truffle hunts on Sundays at 10:00 am for groups and the general public. (see website for details)
They distribute to notable restaurants throughout Canberra and this year will be featured in two upcoming events; Poachers Truffle Dinners at Poachers Pantry and the Annual Truffle Gala, to be held at Contentious Character.
Poachers Truffle Dinner – Smokehouse Restaurant, Spring Range NSW
Held on Saturday 29 July 2023 and Saturday 12 August 2023, the four course menu will feature Blue Frog Truffles paired beautifully with Poachers Vineyard wines. The perfect way to embrace and celebrate winter in the region.

The Annual Truffle Gala – Contentious Character, Wamboin NSW
Contentious Character are proud to hold their Annual Truffle Gala on Saturday 5th of August 2023. The Gala will feature a chef customised four course menu with matching wines and a Q & A session with truffle partner, Blue Frog Truffles!
