Swimming Spots in the Yass Valley

With summer almost over, it’s probably got you thinking about where you can go to enjoy a swim and make the most of this beautiful weather in Yass Valley…

1. Yass Olympic Swimming Pool

Roll out your towel under the shady trees and enjoy the Yass Olympic Swimming Pool. Whether you would prefer to have a relaxing swim or do a few laps of the Olympic sized swimming pool, this pool will suit the needs of everyone! There is also a kids pool for the young ones! Not to mention the on-site kiosk, picnic areas with barbeques, and a well-grassed area that make this spot perfect for a family day out!

2. Micalong Creek Reserve

Take a drive down the Tourist Drive 7 and discover the Micalong Creek Reserve. Dangle your toes in the shallows while you relax on the bank or explore the beautiful waterfall, cascading down into a deep, natural swimming hole.

Bring a picnic rug, lunch, and good company, and enjoy a great day out! 

3. Burrinjuck Dam

If you crave watersports, Reflections Holiday Park Burrinjuck is the perfect place for you! Take your fishing rod, canoe, boat, and head out to enjoy a day of water-skiing, knee-boarding, tubing, and swimming! After a jam-packed day, head up to one of the many picnic tables and enjoy a barbeque whilst taking in the scenery!

4. Good Hope Resort & Hume Park 

Only 15 minutes from Yass, you will find Good Hope Resort and Hume Park. Launch your boat or canoe, throw in a line or relax on a lilo and enjoy a day of watersports, fun and relaxation! 

Not to mention the picnic tables and barbeque facilities so don’t forget to pack a picnic and enjoy a meal by the water!
