Nestled in the quiet village of Binalong, Motel Royal Tara is a family-friendly motel offering comfortable country accommodation, about 30 minutes from Yass on the Burley Griffin Way and a short detour off the Hume Highway.
The 20 rooms are all ground floor, with ensuite, reverse-cycle air-conditioning, WiFi, television, a kitchenette and tea and coffee facilities. Rooms accommodate two to three guests each, with one family room (a queen bed plus two singles) sleeping four. Private parking sits in front of each room, with a front patio area outside.
The on-site licensed and BYO restaurant serves steaks, burgers, pizza and Indian curries and biryanis, with dinner nightly except Wednesday, buffet breakfast daily, and weekend lunch by booking.
Binalong offers an 18-hole sand green golf course, a seasonal swimming pool and bush walks, plus a hotel, cafe, general store, newsagency, glass-blowing studio, and the grave of bushranger Johnny Gilbert. Binalong is about an hour’s drive from Canberra on the Burley Griffin Way.
