Yass Railway Station
For the train lovers, experience the Yass Railway Museum in all its historical glory. Take a walk through the yard and view the main station building, an original loading bank and the mighty black 1307 Steam locomotive that was the mainstay of the state railway system, in service for nearly 95 years. You will even have the opportunity to have a tour of the old tram that lives at the museum!
The station boasts the shortest platform in New South Wales! With convenient parking and right in the town centre.
OPEN: Sunday – 10am – 4pm
Located just 20 minutes north of Canberra, with easy access and parking, Alpaca Magic provides a one of a kind animal experience that you won’t soon forget!
Unlike many other farms, the Alpaca Magic allows you to get up close and personal with the animals! Rather than just feeding them over a fence, you’ll be right in amongst them – close enough for cuddles and selfies.
OPEN: By appointment only, please call (02) 6230 3311
Some of the best fun to have in the Yass Valley doesn’t have to cost a thing. Grab the kids and get down to Coronation Park where the little ones can let their imagination run wild!
The playground itself includes three slides, swings, play sculptures, a large climbing unit, and much more! The park offers picnic tables, barbecue facilities, clean public toilets and ample lush grass with many shady spots to choose from.
The whole family will love Mac, the resident Clydesdale horse over at the Rollonin Cafe. As well as Mac, you will be able to meet many other animals including a peacock, Daisy the cow and many more! After meeting all the animals, why not head into the cafe and enjoy delicious food served with a smile.
OPEN: Thursday – Sunday, 8:30am – 4:00pm
