Join Blackwattle Yarn and Fibre for a beginner’s yarn dyeing workshop.
As part of this workshop,p you will learn basic colour theory, an understanding of protein fibres and yarn blends, the equipment and consumables required to hand dye yarn, basic dye techniques and colour application methods. You will then apply all of these new learnings as you create two of your very own and totally unique hand-dyed skeins of yarn to take home.
Workshop costs include 2 x 100 gram skeins of their Mallee (4ply/fingering weight) yarn, use of their dye studio tools and dyes, morning and afternoon tea, lunch, as well as all day tea and coffee.
Bring your inspirational photos and colour swatches, plus a sense of adventure, as everything will be supplied.
During the lunch break, you will also have the opportunity to meet and hand-feed their alpacas and llamas! (weather permitting).
