1 – Careys Caves

Careys caves of Wee Jasper is described as one of the most fascinating and beautiful cave systems in Australia. Venture out into the stunning crystal cave system for a fun tour with an interesting approach!
What You Need To Know.
  • Suitable for all ages with easy access on well lit pathways with minimum steps
  • Kiosk available with refreshments
  • Tour Times: Friday and Monday – 12pm and 1.30pm.
    Weekends: 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.
    Wednesdays during ACT School Holidays

The best part about this activity (other than the kids being outdoors and in the fresh air) is that you will experience something that goes way beyond a simple cave tour.

2 – Yass Railway Museum 

Experience the Yass Railway Museum in all its historical glory!  The Yass Railway Museum, which is the original station building, exhibits a host of railway memorabilia.
What You Need To Know.
  • This attraction is only open on Sundays from 10:00-4:00
  • Located in the centre of the Yass Town
  • Admission is a gold coin donation
A great activity for history and train buffs!

3 – Four Winds Vineyard

Explore one of many family friendly wineries in the Yass Valley. Four Winds Vineyard has a great outdoor space for kids to run around and take in the fresh country air!
What You Need To Know?
  • Delicious wood-fired pizzas are available every weekend from 12:00-3:00pm
  • An easy 30 minute drive from the Canberra CBD
  • Indoor/Outdoor area available

Fill the kids little bellies with delicious pizza while you sit back and relax!

4 – Coronation Park

Let the kids’ imagination run wild as they embark on the height defying curly slide, monkey bars and swings! The kids will never want to leave!

  • Barbeque Facilities and over 10 picnic tables available
  • Public toilets
  • Park is accessible at all times

The Yass Valley Information Center is conveniently located adjacent to the park.
